Why should I pay and communicate directly through Boatsetter?

Taking communication and/or payments offline puts you at greater risk of fraud or other security issues, such as scams or phishing and is against our Terms of Service. We've taken steps to block emails, websites, and phone numbers in conversations to ensure that you're protected under our Terms of Service, Insurance program, and Cancellation Policy.

Conducting the entire conversation on Boatsetter means that if something goes wrong, there is documentation which could eliminate the "he said/she said" situation and reduces the risk of claims being denied due to lack of evidence. Even after a booking is approved, we recommend communicating through the conversation on Boatsetter.

By keeping the conversation and payments on Boatsetter, you reduce your risk of fraud or other security issues, such as scams or phishing. In order to help us keep the community safe, if you feel that someone is suspicious, please report it to support@boatsetter.co immediately.
